Het fijnste van X-MIX

De X-Mix-serie, uitgebracht door het Duitse !K7-label, begon met de melodieuze technotrip van Paul van Dyk in 1993. Het mixalbum van de Duitser verkocht zo goed dat !K7 besloot jaarlijks een editie uit te brengen. Elk mixalbum bevat een videotape (eerst VHS, later ook DVD) met passende vj-beelden.
Laurent Garnier nam de tweede editie voor zijn rekening, gevolgd door o.a. Richie Hawtin, John Acquaviva en Dave Angel. Ware mixklassiekers in deze serie zijn de twee Electro Boogie-cd’s van Dave Clarke, de Wildstyle-mix van DJ Hell en de negende X-Mix van Kevin Saunderson. In 1998 sloot Hardfloor’s Oliver Bondizo de serie af met het tiende deel.
Alle hoogtepunten uit de X-Mix-serie zijn aan elkaar geplakt in een dikke dj-mix met een hoog ‘kent u deze nog?’-gehalte. Download deze ode aan misschien wel de beste mixserie die de housemuziek ooit heeft voortgebracht HIER, en zweven maar!
